Library War

August 23, 2008

The background behind this storyline was so thought-out, it almost scared me. The art was so nice to look at as well, and it made me laugh so easily… Even an excerpt from the opening sums up just how well the anime is balanced in terms of plotline, characters and humor:

“When the era name was changed to ‘Seika’, in order to stop the negative influences on society, the Media Enhancement Act was created. In order to protect the freedom of press from the inspection of the Media Enhancement Force, the libraries have adopted the use of the military approach. The rivalry between the two parties intensified. In the 31st year of Seika, a young idiotic girl joined the fray behind her parent’s backs.”

“Wait, officer, idiotic girl?”

*Cue OP*

I’m not quite sure how accurate that was, seeing as it was from memory, but honestly. Do you understand why I like this anime so much? Then again, it would appear that all the anime that are adapted from novels have the best plots.

This was one of the animes I chose just by looking at it, and I have to say that although not many people have picked this one up, I like it a lot.
